Testo Things

Here I'll keep track of changes on T and my general experience with the good ol T hormones. Btw I'm a dumb gay who can't do math and I straight up forgot one month to take a picture lol.

Facts

I came out as trans somewhere in early May 2018. November 2018 I still had to get permission from my personal doc to start T. However, it was only on the 12th of February when I actually got to get the Androgel and on February 13th, I finally started my medical transition.

Biggest changes

1. My voice has changed. It has dropped to a masculine range. Before starting T, I was already in an androgynous range, but my voice has lowered since starting T. It is really around 7-8 months on T I can hear the differences.

2. Body hair :D Great, really. I'm Chinese, so tbh I had been expecting to not get much hair and well, I don't really have much now (almost 2 years on T). However, I used to be hairless and girls in my class were jealous becos they had to shave their legs. (Damn you patriarchy and shitty beauty standards) I now have a few thicker hairs on my legs and somehow the left part of my body has decided to grow more hair than the right. Still, it's sadly not really visible from a distance.

3. Facial hair. Again, the same story. I don't have much facial hair growth but the small mustache I have now makes me very euphoric. In the last 2 months or so, I've noticed an increase in chin hairs. One day I'll have a proper chin patch.

4. Bottom growth. It basically means your, *ahem for this word usage* clitoris will grow. When I started, I was kind of worried about that. I heard it could cause a lot of irritation. But once on T, I didn't really realize. One day I got more conscious and was like: wasn't it smaller before T? There are many things I wish I'd keep track of before starting T so I could better compare. But oh well... Wouldn't want to get back now :P

5. Mood changes. Another possible change I was afraid of. I was afraid I'd change personality-wise and would get a lot of mood swings. Luckily, none of that really happened. Though looking back, my parents noticed I got a bit more moodier in the beginning of my testo journey. I had a smaller fuse, as we'd say in Dutch :P But I also started to feel more comfortable and confident!

6. My feet have grown a little. This was first noticeable previous? year (2019) when we went skiing. My feet no longer fit inside the ski shoes. Now, the ski shoes have a bit of a different sizing and also way of fitting because in my regular shoes I still have size 39.
